I’ve never had to slay more dragons than the period from 2019 through 2023. The challenges of opening a new location coupled with the rapid fire tidal waves of the pandemic and post pandemic eras took a nasty toll but failed to sink my spirit. With a majority of the dragons finally dead at my feet, I needed to check my compass, so I made a pilgrimage to “The Original Blues dock”. There, after getting reacquainted, I experimented with some new techniques while pondering the pathways ahead. I was blessed with a broad array of weather to work with, but none more fitting than the foggy morning that produced the exposure I call Century – the first image in my new Centurion Series™. The fog and incredible stillness provided the perfect personification of what this location has come to mean to me – stillness and calm in the unknown, and a place of respite after the storm (see description for Original Blues for necessary background).
I have long had a vision for a series of images that would simultaneously be exclusive and empowering. A series just for my collectors, but created in a way that the series itself would actually honor collectors in proportion to their overall acquisitions. That vision is realized through my Centurion Series™ and Century is the flagship image in the series – see your WALLS consultant for details.
